Your Frequently Asked Questions About The GIF Booth, Answered

When your guests enter the GIF Booth area, they’ll be welcomed by our friendly GIF Booth Host. The host will begin the session once they’ve chosen their prop signs and are prepared to create their Animated GIF or Boomerang GIF. After guests have created their GIF, the host will ask them to enter their email address or phone number to receive a digital copy. If your guests opt to create an Animated GIF, the printer will print a physical copy for each person present during the session.

We use industry-standard photography and video equipment: Canon DSLR cameras connected to a Surface Pro with either Breeze, Darkroom Booth, or SnapPic for our photo booth software. As for lighting, we use a mounted studio flash and beauty dish for the Animated GIFs and LED light bars for the boomerang GIFs! Finally, we utilize the DNP DS620A dye-sub printer, which delivers stunning prints in seconds.

When you complete your Event Questionnaire, you can select from our vast collection of prop signs. With hundreds to choose from, we’re confident you’ll find a curated collection of signs perfect for your event.

You are also welcome to bring your own, and we’ll make sure they get back to you before we leave.

Depending on how everyone positions themselves, we’ve seen 10+ guest faces in the photo at one time.

We find two to four guests produce the best GIFs and photos, especially for upscale events when everyone is dressed to the nines.


Absolutely! Our printer is incredibly efficient, producing one print for each person pictured seconds after the photo session ends. Additionally, guests have the option to receive a digital copy by providing their phone number or email address at the booth or through one of our Social Sharing Kiosks (a fantastic add-on feature). And don’t worry if you accidentally input the wrong phone number or email – all images and GIFs will be uploaded to an event gallery on our website within 24 hours after the event ends.


Your GIF Booth Host will arrive 90 minutes prior to the start of operational time for setup. If you need us sooner than that, please let us know when you fill out our Get A Quote form.

Also, to ensure there are no delays and we are able to start on time, please make sure The GIF Booth area is clear of guests and furniture by our expected arrival time.

To secure your date for an amazing experience with The GIF Booth, please follow these steps:

  1. Fill out the quote request form to check availability.
  2. We’ll review our calendar and respond within one business day (often sooner).
  3. Once you’re satisfied with the details of your bespoke experience, a 50% payment is required to secure the date fully.
